The Horticulture Group are visiting Petersfield Growing Mediums in Leicester. This is the horticultural division of W E Hewitt and Son, an independent family-run business, which has been manufacturing compost products since 1980 including peat-free compost. A state-of-the-art production facility, produce high quality growing mediums for growers and retailers, research establishments, major plant collections, local authorities and many others. Although less well known in retail garden centres, their composts are widely respected.
