The evening will commence with a poster session and reception. There will then be a special presentation of the SCI Yorkshire and the Humber Group's 2013 Awards prior to the Public Lecture.
Dr Brian Iddon, SCI Trustee will present the SCI Chemistry for Industry Award to Prof. John Atherton of the University of Huddersfield and the SCI R&D for Society Award to Prof Terry Wilkins of the University of Leeds.
The Public Lecture will be delivered by Dr Martin Carr of the University of Huddersfield) on 'The Tree of Life'.
The topic for the poster event is 'New Chemo- and Bio-Catalytic Methods for Synthesis'.
SCI accessibility grants are available to support SCI members with disabilities, long term health conditions, those who require a carer, and members who are nursing parents to attend SCI events. Download an application form to apply for a grant.
