Synopsis
Emerging perspectives in organic synthesis, organised by SCI's Young Chemists’ Panel, will address key areas of Organic Synthesis and related disciplines. The meeting was formerly known as the SCI Annual Review Meeting and continues its tradition of bringing together researchers from academia and industry to explore emerging developments in organic synthesis.
An exciting line-up of leading early career academics will deliver a series of perspective lectures covering a range of emerging topics, including data-driven organic synthesis, radical chemistry, and peptide synthesis. The meeting will also deliver a comprehensive overview of these areas, highlighting new methods, and introducing potential industrial applications. The perspective lectures will be supported by a plenary lecture from Prof Matthew Fuchter from the University of Oxford.
Attendees
The meeting is ideally suited to those working in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or agrochemical industries who want to develop their knowledge in key areas. It is also aimed at those in academia, particularly graduates and post-graduates with a background in synthesis, catalysis and medicinal chemistry. An electronic delegate pack will be provided to all participants containing the lecture materials, as well as extensive literature references that will be an excellent resource for years to come.
