Attendees

Established in 2014, the presentation of the Young Lipid Scientist Award 2017 continues to recognise the excellence and emerging talent in research related to lipids, in any field across the physical and life sciences and engineering.

The six shortlisted candidates will give an oral presentation during the event on Monday 26 June. Presentations will be 15 minutes long, with a further 15 minutes available for questions. After the presentations, the winner will be selected by a vote of the Lipids Group Committee and will receive a prize of £100 and a certificate. All the shortlisted candidates will receive one year complimentary membership of SCI (worth £25).

The winner will also be eligible to give an oral presentation at EuroFedLipid 2017 in Uppsala, Sweden for which SCI will cover expenses up to the value of £400 to attend. A report from Courtney Boyd, who represented SCI by presenting at the EuroFedLipid 2016 meeting in Ghent, can be found here.

A report from the 2016 event can be found here.
