Synopsis
In the global chemical process sector there are many very empowering and well-paid jobs, in industry and academia, but the competition for these jobs is significant. However, to be successful and join, stay on and move up the salaried ladder is a manageable challenge in which luck is only a minor element. It does involve evaluating the motivation and goals of both yourself and your prospective employer. But, with this preparation, job interviews can be less daunting and job offers more probable. This event is aimed at that preparation, it will describe many job roles, from the viewpoint of both recruiters and the recruited, that can help you evaluate your own goals. The talks will include a broad review of the sector, a HR view of recruitment and the perspective of job holders describing their roles. It will allow networking with industry, learned societies and academia, to understand what an employer will want to see from their job candidates, that will make the difference between getting the offer and not the rejection letter.
