Congratulations to Dr John Wilkins, Chair of SCI's Cambridge and Great Eastern Group

Dr John Wilkins

John Wilkins has been a member of SCI since 1992 and he has been Chair of the Cambridge and Great Eastern committee since 2006. John is a frequent contributor to SCI’s forums and has organised many events. Alongside John’s contributions to SCI, and his day job as an External Affairs Manager for Mologic, he has recently received his doctorate from Cardiff University. Here, John tells us a little more about the path he took to achieve his goal.

IEX2016 - Session Overview: Bioprocessing

The Bioprocessing session is part of IEX2016 and aims to look at ion exchange purification challenges and solutions within the biopharmaceutical and food industry. The vast majority of therapeutic bioproduct quality attributes and impurities are associated with host cell line and the upstream manufacturing processes. This session includes talks from a range of speakers on this subject.

Michael Willis

Michael Willis is Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Oxford and has recently been awarded the 2015 Process Chemistry Award. He will be a speaker at the upcoming 33rd SCI Process Development Symposium (Wednesday 6 - Friday 8 April, University of Cambridge) and is a member of SCI’s Fine Chemicals Group, Young Chemists’ Panel and Bristol and South West Group.
