Canada International Group

SCI's Canada International Group provides a link between academia, business and industry and works closely with the Chemical Institute of Canada.

SCI Canada

SCI Canada, founded in 1902, was one of three chemistry associations in Canada. In 1945 the other associations were merged, but supported by senior leaders from the Canadian chemical industry, SCI was maintained.

It supports the drive for innovation in Canada by giving merit awards to new chemistry and chemical engineering graduates and career awards to individuals in industry, academia and government.

SCI Canada Group Awards

SCI Canada rewards excellence in chemistry and the chemical industry by presenting awards to industry and academic leaders for outstanding achievements. In addition, SCI Canada recognises the highest performing graduating undergraduate students each year in biochemistry, chemical engineering and chemistry from universities across Canada.

Deadlines for nominations for the SCI Canada awards are September 30 of each year for the following year. Further details on nominations will be available in early 2018.

Volunteering

If you are looking for a way to become more involved with SCI, you might want to consider becoming one of our active volunteers.

SCI volunteers work at the heart of SCI. As a volunteer, you will create and strengthen your skills, interact with people from different backgrounds, gather new and experiences and build your confidence and credibility. Contact membership@soci.org for more information.
