Adnoc and Occidental are to evaluate opportunities to progress their carbon capture and storage programmes and scale up decarbonisation technologies including direct air capture. The partners have said the agreement will unlock $100 billion investment in carbon management and clean energy projects.
TotalEnergies, Baker Hughes, Technip Energies, along with other partners have signed a preliminary agreement to invest in Zhero Europe to develop large scale renewable energy projects in Europe and Africa. The financing will allow Zhero Europe to advance development of its project portfolio, leveraging the expertise of its investors.

Two reports from the UN Climate Change’s Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action have been released which focus on helping the fashion industry better understand how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from raw material extraction, processing and production.

Professor Dr Xinhe Bao has been announced as the laureate of China’s National Congress on Catalysis Achievement Award 2023. The award is sponsored by Clariant and recognises an individual for outstanding accomplishments in catalysis research in China.
Evonik has said that its climate targets are in line with the Paris Agreement and that this has been confirmed by the independent Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). Evonik submitted it plan for reducing scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2030.
