Defra announced a joint consultation, on 19 May, with the Welsh Government, seeking views on a small number of proposed minor amendments to the Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) Regulations for England and Wales. The purpose of this consultation is to seek stakeholders’ views on a draft of a proposed statutory instrument that will amend the PCBs Regulations. (“POPs Regulation”).
Survey on the use and regulatory acceptance of New Approach Methodologies for chemical risk assessment and decision-making

The European Partnership for the Assessment of Risks from Chemicals (PARC), a joint effort of 30 countries and 3 European agencies (EEA, ECHA, EFSA), is conducting a survey for European risk assessors. PARC´s objective is to inform policy making in Europe and at the national level with sound scientific results on exposure to chemical pollutants and possible effects on health and the environment.
