SCI's Day of Science & Careers is an annual career event designed to give information about the wide range of careers covered in the chemical, chemistry using and other science based industries.

The event will take place at SCI’s prestigious Belgrave Square premises on 13 April 2016. Speakers from a range of industrial, academic and independent backgrounds will present their career pathway and offer insights into what to look out for, and what to consider, when choosing your next steps. Working in SMEs and large corporate companies, such as Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Syngenta, will be covered and there will be plenty of opportunity to network during the interactive activity session and refreshment breaks.

If you want to discover how to start out in academia or industry; learn about working in a Biosciences SME, on a Process Plant in Pharma or in Scientific Marketing and Sales; find out how to bring Plant potential to life or what it is like to be Patent Attorney, this is the event for you.

There will be an interactive activity and opportunities to ask questions and make suggestions, both at the meeting itself and over the informal wine and nibbles networking session that follows. The latter is also a great opportunity to make new connections.

The event, is open to all (you do not have to be an SCI member to attend), and includes lunch, refreshments, wine and nibbles.

This event is free to attend, but booking is required. In previous years this meeting has been very popular and places are limited so early booking is advisable.

SCI holds frequent careers events. Another of these days will be held in Scotland on 31 May. For more information please follow the links below.
