Free Ticket for SCI Member for Life Sciences Conference

13 Feb 2014

The Scotsman will be holding a conference entitled, 'Realising the Potential for Life Sciences in Scotland' on 25 February at the Scottish National Galleries, Edinburgh.

Life sciences is one of Scotland's key economic sectors, with 600-plus organisations employing 32,000 people and adding more than £3 billion in annual economic value.

Edinburgh and Dundee have developed clusters of expertise in the field, the Glasgow BioCorridor is putting the achievements of the west on the map and there is world-leading research work taking place across Scotland.

But are we making the most of our undoubted expertise? Is some of the excellent R&D work failing to translate as well as it might into significant domestic manufacturing capability? This conference will examine the state of Scotland's life sciences industry and how it can continue to move forward in a coherent and joined-up way to the benefit of all parties.

We have been lucky enough to secure one complimentary ticket for an SCI member to attend this event (worth £110+vat). If you are interested in applying for the ticket please contact communications@soci.org. The ticket will be given on a first-come-first serve basis. We just ask in return for a post-event news story to be provided so we can publish it on our website.

If you do not get the free ticket, you are still eligible for a 10% discount. Please visit the members only area, via the link below, to access the discount code.
