This is the fourth and final event of this series providing an opportunity to talk about issues of relevance to both people from academia and industry, to network and to listen to a number of experts' views on education. This event is for all representatives of academia and industry, with a focus on academics seeking to understand the problems and opportunities facing industry, and industrialists seeking to understand potential opportunities and advantages of working with academics.
The speakers will talk about how general and specialist chemistry and chemical engineering degree programs are shaped to prepare graduates for industry as well as academic careers.

Ms Leonie Walsh is the director and founder of Productive Management Solutions P/L and was Victoria’s first Lead Scientist (2013-2016).
Monash University
Prof Cordelia Selomulya was recently awarded an ARC Future Fellowship (2014 – 2018) to conduct research on the manufacturing of high value particles for functional foods and pharmaceutical industries.
University of Melbourne
Prof David Shallcross is a Professor of Chemical Engineering, University of Melbourne, Director of the Engineering Learning Unit in the Melbourne School of Engineering and author of "Chemical Engineering Explained: Basic Concepts for Novices"
Light refreshments will be served on arrival. An informal dinner will be arranged to follow the formal part of the evening (at participants’ own cost).
