Are you a PhD student? Are you planning to travel to a conference or site visit and in need of funds? Then look no further than the SCI Travel Bursary scheme!
SCI offers travel bursaries of up to £1,500 which contribute towards the development of PhD students. Previous travel bursary winners have travelled the globe and have gained more than just financial support.
Through their bursary they have broadened their vision and been able to share cutting-edge knowledge with an international audience while networking with eminent scientists from around the world.
SCI members* who are PhD students are invited to apply for a travel bursary to attend a conference, or to support travel in connection with their work and development. Reflecting SCI’s multidisciplinary nature, we offer several Travel Bursaries in a vast array of scientific disciplines. Our Travel Bursary Winners come from diverse backgrounds - from food and agrisciences, through to environment, energy, materials, and health.
Deadlines for applications:
- AJ Banks, Messel, Leverhulme, and Richardson - 31 March
- David Miller - 17 April
- Rideal - 15 April
*Please note that applicants must be SCI standard or student members (travel bursaries are not available to e-members or non-members) prior to application, with the exception of Rideal Travel Bursaries where applicants can be either an SCI or RSC member.
