How are pavements designed? What are the rules and regulations? How do they differ from country to country? How can we improve them?
Organised by SCI's Construction Materials Group, this one-day event will look at how design of pavements is practised in the UK and internationally, and will consider what impact the current review of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges may have on the issues surrounding pavement design and materials in the UK.
Engineering students, construction materials testing laboratories, highway, civil and military airport authorities, road and engineering consultants, asphalt suppliers and contractors, and road and airfield construction contractors can all benefit from attendance.
