The BCPC Congress 2016 takes place from Tuesday 4 - Wednesday 5 October 2016 in Brighton, UK, so register today!

Discussing changes in European Agriculture, the Regulatory Environment and Brexit, this year’s Congress offers a programme of presentations, Q&A sessions, panel discussions and a CRD workshop covering existing and future regulatory challenges.

The European REACH Congress 2016 is being held in Düsseldorf from 8 - 9 November 2016.

To kick start the Congress, there will be a pre-event Discussion Forum on 7 November which will allow participants to discuss Substance Identity for REACH Registrations. This will be chaired by Dr Stuart Niven (Envigo) and David Norris (David Norris Analytical Laboratories Ltd). This will be followed by a pre-event drinks reception (sponsorship available) whereby we will provide participants with a great opportunity to engage with each other, discuss the coming days’ presentations, its opportunities and challenges.

The Congress itself starts on 8 November with a session on the current status of REACH. Speakers, all of who have direct experience of their respective subject include: Jodie Quirke (DG Environment), Richard Dubourg (The Economics Interface Ltd), Ying Zhu (REACHLaw), Claudio Mereu (Fieldfisher), Dr Craig Kelly (TSGE Consulting) and James V Hagan (Elementis Specialities).

In the afternoon, to keep the programme lively post-lunch, we have an expert panel to answer questions from participants and discuss current REACH challenges.

The day will close (before another drinks reception) with a more international flavour on how REACH has influenced non-EU regions and what this means for European industry. Speakers include Petra Weber (Clariant) and Dr Michael Cleuvers (Dr Knoell Consult GmbH).

Day 2 starts with a range of industry case-studies from speakers including Mike Penman (Penman Consulting), Dr Roger Van der Linden (Plastics Europe), Dr Christina Lüdigk (Symrise AG), Dr Michela Kahlberg (REACH & Colours Italia S.r.l.) and Hugo Waeterschoot (Eurometaux).

This will be followed by a series of presentations on the technical highlights from experts Professor Mark Cronin (Liverpool John Moore University), and Dr Gerard Swaen (Maastricht University). As part of the technical session there is a panel discussion on the one-generation reproduction study with Steven Renault (Envigo), Ailsa Jackson (Covance) and Manon de Beekhuijzen (Charles River), all experts in this field of expertise.

Further information on the latest programme outline can be found on the Congress websites accessible via the links below.
