This award is presented to an individual or a team for research and development (carried out in the last ten years) which provides a potentially major benefit to society in Yorkshire and the Humber. The technology should be at an early stage and ready for commercialisation or implementation, e.g. as the basis for a spin-out company.
Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Group Members are able to nominate for the Research and Development for Society Award. The award recipients are selected by the Yorkshire and the Humber Awards Committee.
Presentation and award
The award is presented at the Yorkshire and the Humber Annual Awards Ceremony and the award winner will receive a certificate. The award will be available for nominations as appropriate and an awards ceremony will take place in late September.

This award is presented to an individual for sustained, outstanding and influential contributions to the advancement of science education which provide a major benefit to society in Yorkshire & the Humber and beyond.
