Research and Development for Society Award

Established 2009

This award is presented to an individual or a team for research and development (carried out in the last ten years) which provides a potentially major benefit to society in Yorkshire and the Humber. The technology should be at an early stage and ready for commercialisation or implementation, e.g. as the basis for a spin-out company.

Nominations

Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Group Members are able to nominate for the Research and Development for Society Award. The award recipients are selected by the Yorkshire and the Humber Awards Committee.

Eligibility Criteria

    Background
    • Nominees from academic or research institutions
    • Researchers or technology managers from industry
    • A strong connection with Yorkshire and the Humber but some of the work could have been completed outside the region.
