The SCI Lewkowitsch Lecture commemorates Dr Julius Lewkowitsch, a chemist, entrepreneur and authority in the field of oils and fats. The lecture was endowed in 1980 in the will of his daughter, Dr Elsa Lewkowitsch.

Award History

Julius Lewkowitsch Memorial Lecture was established in 1980 in honour of Dr Julius Lewkowitsch, who was a chemist, entrepreneur and authority in the field of oils and fats. He was a stalwart member of SCI from 1889.

Nominations

Nominations for the Julius Lewkowitsch Memorial Lecture are made by the SCI Lipids Group Committee. The recipient will also be selected by the committee.

Lecture Details

The winner will be expected to give a lecture at a conference organised by the SCI Lipids Group and will be presented with a certificate. The Julius Lewkowitsch Memorial Lecture is presented triennially.
