Nominations for the 2019 Beilby award now open

14 November 2018

The Beilby Medal and Prize are awarded annually to a scientist or engineer to recognise substantial work of exceptional practical significance in chemical engineering, applied materials science, energy efficiency, or a related field.  Preference is given to candidates in early stages of their careers.

The Beilby Medal is presented jointly by SCI's Materials Chemistry Group, the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.

The selection process of the 2019 Beilby Medal and prize winner is being administered by The IOM3 and we would like to invite nominations, including self nominations, with the support of referees.

Please use the IOM3 nominations system to make your nominations by the 15 January 2019.

The award is open to members of IOM3, RSC and SCI and non-members based in the UK or overseas.
