Nominations for the 2021 Beilby Medal and Prize are now open.

Established in 1930, the award is presented annually and recognises a scientist or engineer whose work has proved to be of exceptional practical significance in chemical engineering, applied materials science, energy efficiency, or a related field. Preference is given to candidates in the early stages of their careers. The winner receives £1000 along with a medal and certificate.

The Beilby Medal and Prize is administered jointly by SCI’s Materials Chemistry Group, the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3). The selection process for the 2021 Beilby Medal and Prize is being administered by the RSC. The winner is selected by representatives of the three Societies.
