SCI is continuing to focus on our renewed sense of purpose, as a multi-disciplinary society, serving the diverse, yet interlinked, scientific sectors in modern science-based or chemistry-using industry. Our charitable objective is to work at the interface between science and industry, supporting and promoting innovation and industry.
As SCI develops, we want more members to engage with the Society, so are introducing new ways to encourage this.
From 2016, Members have been able to vote online for the available positions on the SCI Board of Trustees and Standing Committees, making it easier for you to cast your vote. This system allows you to register your vote online quickly, with all of the required documents being available to review as you go through the online voting process. We anticipate it will take around 15 minutes for Members to register their vote.
If you would prefer to, you are still able to vote by post and in person at the SCI AGM. The voting deadlines for this year are as follows:
- Monday 26 June - Voting by post closes (ie postal votes must be returned no later than Monday 26 June by 5pm)
- Wednesday 28 June - Online voting closes
- Wednesday 5 July - Vote in person at the Annual General Meeting
