Synopsis

The School of Chemical Engineering at UNSW Sydney is well known as a top provider of quality education and cutting-edge research. Its focus is to support the future of the fields of chemical engineering, industrial chemistry and food science and technology, and is at the forefront of exciting innovations and emerging technologies through several international research groups and centres. The School of Chemical Engineering at USNW is ranked 13th in the world and 1st in Australia by the NTU Ranking of Scientific Papers. The school is in the Science and Engineering Building, opened in 2019 and features world-class laboratory facilities, student study rooms, and office space for more than 200 graduate students.

This event will provide an overview of the research that is currently being conducted including some examples whereby this research has been commercialised. This introduction will be followed by a tour of the facilities including the Chemical Engineering Teaching Laboratory, the Pilot Hall, the Chemical Engineering Makerspace and the Food Teaching Laboratories.

This event is intended for those engaged in or interested in research within the fields of Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, and Food Technology. It welcomes participants at all career stages, from undergraduates to retirees.
