Hurter Memorial Lecture
The first Hurter Memorial Lecture was given by Professor George Lunge of Zurich, a close friend and collaborator of Hurter. This lecture is awarded by the Liverpool and North West Regional Group Committee.
Hilditch Memorial Lecture
An outstanding authority on oils and fats, Professor Hilditch helped establish the SCI Lipids Group (then known as the Oils and Fats Group). He was its inaugural Chair and a formative influence in the extension of its activities. He is remembered with affection and high regard by group members today, and his portrait on the Chair's badge of office is testament to his enduring legacy. Established 1967
