#Agrifoodbecause is back!

The SCI Agri-Food Early Career Committee have launched their 2020 Twitter competition. The competition asks early career scientists – from students to postdocs and technicians – to share a photograph that represents their work and explain the reasons why they love working in Agri-Food.

Agri-Food is a wide-ranging term, which includes anything from agriculture to food science, from plants to insects, bacteria to fungi, nutrition to pest control. Previous winners have included photographs of plant pathogens, fruit-eating pests, beneficial insects and funky plant roots.

To enter the competition, participants need to Tweet their photo with a caption explaining why they love working in Agri-Food. Entries should include the hashtag ‘#agrifoodbecause’ and tag the SCI Agri-Food ECC’s Twitter handle ‘@SCI_AgriFood’.

The winner will receive a £100 Amazon Voucher and a win a year’s free student membership to SCI, worth £25, and a certificate. The deadline is Friday 6 November, so make sure to get your entries in quick!

Full competition Terms & Conditions can be found here.
