JSFA Reports is the sister publication to the popular Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture (JSFA). The journal encourages publication of research that does not quite meet the strict criteria of JSFA in terms of cutting-edge novelty and global application, but is scientifically strong and might be of interest to the readers of JSFA.

All manuscripts submitted to JSFA will be considered for both journals and, where appropriate, authors will be offered the opportunity to transfer their paper for review at JSFA Reports. This gives our authors a speedy second chance at publication in a close companion to their first-choice journal.

Variability and chemical composition of extractives content of woody residues of three European orchard's species: Apricot (Prunus Armeniaca L.), Olive (Olea Europea L.) and Orange trees (Citrus Sinensis L.)

The huge quantity of agricultural biomass has led Europe (EU) to issue directives to ensure that it is properly managed. Among the permanent European crops area, olive, orange and apricot orchards are the most present. The management of these crops produces significant amounts of biomass, which very often is burned in the field. With a view to the circular economy, this study aims to analyze the secondary metabolites present in the biomass of these three crops.
