Macro Group Young Researchers Medal

Established 2007

Awarded to a UK-based scientist, with up to 12 years of experience since completion of PhD on December 31st of the preceding year, whose contributions to polymer science show outstanding promise for the future.

Award Information


Nominations should be sent to Dr Valeria Arrighi (, Macro Group UK Secretary. Nominations will be accepted from a proposer and a seconder, both current members of Macro Group UK, who should provide:

  • a supporting statement (describing the contributions for which the nominee is notable), and
  • a brief (1-4 page) CV/resumé of the nominee.

Lecture Details

The winner of the Macro Young Researchers Medal will be selected by members of the Macro Group UK. The Macro Young Researcher will be awarded a bronze medal and will be expected to deliver a medal award lecture at an appropriate Macro Group UK meeting.

    • Scientists from any organisation (industrial, commercial, government, academic etc)
    • Nominations are restricted to scientists currently working in the UK
